Doll Quilt 2 Swap

I want to show my little doll quilt I made for the Doll Quilt 2 Swap. I had so much fun with this and hope the recipient likes it. I am calling it Summer Solstice as I received my partner’s information on June 21st and designed the quilt that day. I was told that my swap partner loves cats and dogs and animals in general. She likes cutesy type flowers. Purple and blue are her favorite colors but her house is done in sage green and brown. I tried to incorporate a little of all her loves. I hand appliquéd and hand quilted it. I had such a good time with this swap, I will certainly do it again if they have another one and I haven’t even received my quilt yet. The fun is definitely in the giving!

How gorgeous! You've put so much thought into it which really is the fun of it all - the challenge of coming up with something for someone else. I so agree about the giving - I keep forgetting that I am going to recieve one too - very exciting! Can't wait for the next swap!
