Free Style Letters and Wonky Houses

I have been playing with free style letters and wonky houses this past week thanks to our Tonya. I was able to get all my letters done and put on the border of a quilt I just finished up. I will show it a little later down the road. I also finished 4 more wonky dog houses for a doggie quilt I am working on. These are so much fun and you don’t even have to think much while you are doing them. I love just being able to piece and not worry about any perfection happening. That is the primitive girl in me coming out! I have a plan for these, executing it is a different matter. My mind works in mysterious ways sometimes (okay most times!) and usually what I am picturing is a little bit harder to accomplish then I originally thought.
Bullyve is doing better but still not his normal happy self. He is still having problems getting up and down and he is still just doing a lot of lying around. We are headed back to the vet next week. Baseball has been consuming our lives as of late. I am headed this morning to Cincinnati for 4 days of tourney.

Love, love, love the houses! Can't wait to see your letters, too. I REALLY want to do both wonky houses and letters--they're on the list! Your baseball days remind me of mine a few years back. Both sons started playing Little League at age six and played all the way through HS. Such great (and cheap) entertainment! You will miss it someday....I sure do.

Love the wonky houses. Esp the blue purple one with the pink door. I agree that they are fun to do and I too love not having to perfectly match points etc. If it doesn't fit just whack on another piece or chop some off. My kind of quilting!

LOVE the houses, Laura!! I see all the little doggies in the doors looking out!

Hopefully Bullyve can get back to his old shelf with the vets help. Good luck to him.

The blocks look wonderful. I think I'm especially partial to the bright orange. I bet this will come out spectacular - even better than what you're picturing in your head.

I love being called "our" Tonya - makes me feel loved.

I love the houses; you are genius, talented and quite gifted. I enjoy each visit even though I don't always post a comment.

Feel better soon, poor Bullvye! The dogs-in-their-houses are wonderful; I wonder what your plan is for them??

I love the dog fabric - it is batik? It is great. The houses are going to be great fun to see altogether.

Wishing Bullvye well - hopefully he didn't get an infection from the wound.

My favorite is the purple and blue one too - but I do have to wonder why a doghouse needs a chimney... :)

Of course the answer is - so Santy Claws can deliver treats...lol

Laura those houses are fabulous. Who's going to be the lucky owner of this unique real estate?

Have fun at the baseball.

Hope Bullvye makes a full recovery soon.
