The New Table

This is an update to my table story. For those who didn’t read that story, my husband decided to upgrade our furniture. This meant the loss of a beloved table and other antiques. I now have all my new furniture. It is growing on me. I still miss my table and wish I had my table but this is working for us. I do love my new cabinet. It is worth the sacrifice. My husband has a new desk that he enjoys.
We also have an electric fireplace that I really like. We have had this for a few years. It originally wasn’t on the wall that I wanted it on. The wall that it should have gone on had the cold air return directly in front of it. Since I had sacrificed my table my husband went to the expense of having our duct work moved around and our cold air return moved to an adjacent room. I am really happy to have my fireplace on the bricked wall.

Update on Bullvye. He seems to be doing better this morning. He not only barked at the school bus he also checked the trash cans out. This is more to his normal routine. He pulled himself up this morning. It looked like he struggled but once he was up he moved around good. Thanks for all the nice comments. He means a lot to us!

Yes, fireplace on a brick wall. That's perfect. Glad you're happy with the new furniture. That cabinet is gorgeous - I'm having fun looking at your pottery in there.

Glad the sweet puppy is doing so much better.

I'm so glad that Bullvye is feeling better. Our pets mean the world to us, don't they? I love you new furniture...very dramatic with the black and wood top. It looks great!

Oh Laura! I know how much you loved your old table, and I fell in love with it also, but I have to admit - I love the new stuff also! And your fireplace it so perfect on that wall! I think I would LOVE to live your house very much! Wouldn't want to give it to me would you??? :)

I"m glad Bullvye is improving. Wow, I just can't believe what a struggle he has had.

I'm so happy to hear Bullvye is better. Poor thing.

I think your new table is wonderful. Beautiful wood and I love the chair backs. I love the cat sitting on the in floor - like she's showing the table.

With the cabinet and the fireplace it looks like a very nice dining area. Now you just need to have lots of dinner parties!

I do like the new furniture too, although I would have had to fight for that old table too. But I am confused....where is the cat? Am I missing a picture? Cuz' I don't see the fireplace either.

Anyway, so glad to hear that Bullvye is getting better. TLC will get him all the way back to normal.

Okay, I'm not crazy...blogger is! I saw one pic and not even the little boxes for the rest. Then I clicked again on the one pic and came back to 4 pictures!!

Never mind!

Thank goodness! I am so glad to hear that Bullvye is doing better. Horray! I know how hard it is when our pooches are sick.

Your new furniture is just gorgeous Laura :)

Hard to let go of the old stuff, but boy the new furniture is beautiful.

So, tell me, is the cat making hay while the sun shines? Lording it over Bullvye? I am glad to hear he's getting back to his normal self. :)

Thanks for visiting with me a bit. I'm new to this blog site but I truly enjoyed your page. I love your home and the furnishings, you have a lovely place.

I'm still trying to get all the dust cleaned over in my area but feel free to come back. I am a potter and those are my purse creations. If I can get them glazed to meet my standards, I'll be one happy camper.

Glad to hear your pup-pup is doing ok. I have a yellow lab that was bit by a CAT. P.D. got a horrid infection. Lots of shots, antibiotics, and hot/cold for days. So any animal bite can be harmful. I'm glad Bullvye is ok.
